Before You Come to Whispering Winds
there are some things you should know!

We want your pet to enjoy every bit of his stay here therefore we have addressed some of the often asked questions.

My dog has never been boarded, is that ok?
Yes, we service many 1st time boarders and find that the pets that stay with us are very happy here. Our recommendation is board regularly from pets early years on so they get to know it as part of their lifestyle, then it is less stressful with each time after.

What do I need to bring?
Only your pet and his current vaccination records and we do the rest. If you would like to bring a favorite toy, treats, food or blanket we welcome that. Anything that would make your dogs stay more enjoyable.

Will I get those items back?
We don’t recommend that you send anything sentimental because if the item becomes unsanitary for any reason we will dispose of it so we can not guarantee you will get it back.

My dog doesn't like other dogs, is that ok?
Yes, Here at Whispering Winds we can provide privacy runs both indoor and outdoor for the dogs that need that. Otherwise our indoor area is solid privacy walls and the outdoor is chain link fence between runs with a view of other dogs.

What vaccinations are needed to board at your pet resort?
We have put a high value on sanitation and safety here at Whispering Winds. A part of that is making sure every dog comes in excellent health. We require vaccinations for Rabies DHLP and Bordetella.

I see you are closed for Sunday drop off and pick up. Are you still caring for the dogs even though you are closed?
Yes one of the advantages of bringing your dog to Whispering Winds is that we live on the property. We provide 24/7 care.

If I choose not to bring my own food what do you provide?
We use a premium dry kibble that we are very happy with as are the dogs and cats!

WE DO NOT ACCEPT DOGS WITH A HISTORY OF AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR.
